This release introduces a two-way sync for Google Calendar, an option to enable or disable the private chat, the possibility of having both the agenda and interaction widgets like the chat opened simultaneously, and other small improvements and bug fixes.
📅 Two-way sync for Google Calendar
- You will now automatically see booked sessions, planned meetings, or webinars scheduled in your Google Calendar.
- This will require you to resync your external accounts.
💬 Option to disable private chat
- As the host, you now have the option to enable/disable the private chat function for your participants.
🎉 Live interface improvements
- You can now keep both the agenda and the interaction widgets (Chat, Polls, Questions, Notes, Takeaways, etc.) open simultaneously while in a live session or event.

- You now can generate embedding codes for an event’s landing page and registration form.

This release introduces improvements to URLs, and the exit page. We’ve also introduced small fixes and improvements to the overall platform.
🔗 Update to URL format for rooms, book me and events
- We’ve updated the way URLs for sessions, rooms, bookings, and events are generated in order to contain only the basic, necessary information.
- To use this new URL format, please go to Profile → Account Settings → General → Workspace slug to create it.
🔜 Exit page: offer with call to action
- As the host, you now have the ability to redirect your participants to a custom URL after a booking, event, room, or a session ends. This can help your conversion and engagement rates.

🎉 Public API - updated
- The Booking API has been updated to accept new booking features, like multiple intervals, adding additional guests, and registration forms.

- New API Key role has been added: Guest. This role can be set on an API Key so that it can be used only for API requests like "Create a booking as guest" and "Register to event as guest", to allow Guest users to use them.

This release introduces a faster processing and download time for recordings and custom email templates.
📩 Custom email templates
- It’s now possible to go onto your profile and customize the email templates.
- You can edit the subject and body of each email template. Plus, create your own unique email signature that will apply to all emails.
- For custom emails to work, you need to sync your email account with Sessions. If you disconnect your email account, the system will revert back to the regular Sessions email templates.
🔴 Recording download update
- It’s now much faster to download recordings. As soon as a session with a recording ends, the processing of the recording will start automatically and it will be ready for you to download when you check it in Memory.

This release introduces private chats, and new roles and permissions for your workspace members.
💬 Private chat
- Participants can now communicate with each other privately during meetings. Moderators can't see private chats between participants.
- Private chats can be started by searching for a participant, right-clicking on their name, and selecting “Send private message”.
- In Memory, private chats will only be visible to those who partook in them.
👥 User roles and permissions
- Workspace admins can now create custom roles for their workspace members and set the permissions to suit their organization’s unique needs.
- Permissions are grouped into 3 categories:
- Sharing and managing includes the permissions for sharing agendas and resources, account settings, and managing people.
- Creation and access includes the permissions for creating events, sessions, bookings, rooms, and more.
- Privacy lets you choose whether members can view each other (as contacts).

This release introduces a new conference view, Audience mode, an update to Speaker mode, and the option to fit a video stream to the screen.
🔊 Conference View Modes Update
- A new conference view has been added: Audience. This mode displays the current speaker on the screen along with an audience bar that shows other participants.
- Speaker mode has been renamed to Spotlight. Its design has been updated to display only the active speaker, specifically the one currently speaking.
- A new option, "Fit video to screen", has been introduced. This option functions in conference mode when no tool is active and adjusts the current video stream to fit the available screen size.
- When a tool is introduced, whether standalone or within an agenda, the gallery mode is disabled.

This release introduces updates on the ‘Book me’ form section, a new feature called My Offers, and the option to remove yourself from upcoming or passed sessions.
📅 ‘Book me’ update
- We’ve simplified the way booking forms work: There is now only one step in the booking process and the required and custom fields will show up simultaneously.
- The option to allow participants to invite additional guests to a booking can now be enabled/disabled from the General tab on the Booking setup page.
🏷️ ‘My offers’ - new feature
- You can now create offers/announcements and share them on the main screen during meetings and webinars.
- Add a small image, catchy title, description, and a custom CTA button to your announcement and redirect the participants to an external link.
- Offers is a widget that is disabled by default. When enabled from the Settings menu -> Widgets section, you can import/create your offers and all participants can see them in the widget.
- If you want to set up an offer in advance, you can do so in Account Settings -> My offers. They can then be imported live when you need them.
- Offers can only be created and operated by the main host of a session, assistants and speakers will not be able to launch this feature.
❌ Remove yourself from session
- You can now remove yourself from a session and not have it displayed in Calendar.
- Look for Remove session under More options (3-dot menu) on any session listed under Today’s sessions in Sessions Home or in Memory. If you remove yourself from an ended session, all the files, chat messages, and questions you sent will also be removed.

This release introduces team routing for bookings, more control over external calendars, improvements to the join-in process and other bug fixes.
📅 ‘Book me’ - team routing option
- Users can assign up to 20 workspace collaborators to a booking. This means that the booked sessions will now be distributed between them.
- Workspace collaborators can have different permissions when it comes to editing the booking page, assigning a session to other team members, or accepting a booking.
- The booking’s owner can choose if the bookings will be assigned to the team according to their availability, or they can create a priority list for the team. The booking system will then take into consideration first priority, then availability.
- The booking’s owner can choose to split the schedule into days and/or hours, and assign individual team members for each schedule section.
📅 External calendar update
- Users can now enable/disable external calendar filters from the app. If a user doesn’t want a certain external account to be taken into consideration for their availability, they can disable it from the Sessions Calendar.
🎉 Join session updates
- The process of joining a session with a large number of participants has been improved.

- When inviting team members to be Room assistants, they will receive an email notification about their new role in your room.

🎤 Events & webinars - registration form update
- The titles of mandatory fields from a registration form can now be edited in order to accommodate users’ native languages.
- If a user edits the title of a mandatory field in the ‘Custom fields’ section, the name change will apply to all future registration forms. If a user edits the title of a mandatory field in the “Form fields” section, the name change will only apply to that event’s registration form.

🎤 Dry runs for events & webinars - update
- Hosts or assistants can now start an event or webinar’s dry run (backstage) anytime. They are not restricted anymore to one hour before the event starts.
🤲 Custom domain updates - Favicon
- Users can now change the favicon when they have the custom domain enabled. This will be visible only when using Sessions on the custom domain URL.
🖼️ Custom branding - update
- We’ve redesigned the custom branding setup page and added an option to upload an additional logo, used for smaller placement (Logomark).
🗺️ App translation updates - new languages
- The following languages have been added to the translation list: Japanese, Dutch and Polish.
- A user’s language will automatically be selected based on their browser’s language. Users can also change the default language from the Sessions app → My Profile.
- We’ve also improved existing translations based on the feedback we received.
✍️ Agenda items improvements
- The settings button for tools will be available on any agenda item with a resource (tool, file, link) embedded, in order to facilitate the configuration process.
- Speaker notes have been redesigned. They now appear as a new section for each agenda item.

This release introduces the start of the custom branding redesign and white labeling process, as well as updates to the custom domain setup process.
🖼️ Advanced custom branding
- A Workspace color theme is now more visible throughout the application, mostly in UI elements.
- Cover banners for the Lobby and a session’s live wallpapers are now visible in pre-join screens.
- Your own logo will now completely replace Sessions’ logo in the entire app.
Note: The process of redesigning our custom branding is an ongoing process spanning over the next couple of weeks. We’ll constantly add new capabilities to the white label: more options for logos, favicon and metadata settings.

This release introduces the Zapier integration and improvements to the settings modal for Instant/Planned sessions, Bookings, Events, and Rooms.
⭐ Settings modal improved
- The settings modal for Instant/Planned Sessions, Events, Bookings and Rooms has been improved to allow hosts more control over the audience and the online interaction itself.
- Users can now create settings templates that apply to every type of session or event. These can be set up and modified from the user’s profile. When creating a new session/event, Sessions will default to the settings configured in the template.
- Users can now enable or disable the follow-up email that is automatically sent at the end of a session/event.
- Users can now enable or disable interaction tools (chat, Q&A, polls, notes, etc.).
- Notifications settings have been moved. Only Hosts and Co-hosts can change them.

This release introduces improvements to the 'Book me' feature, recurrent sessions, conference enhancements, and other bug fixes and improvements.
📅 ‘Book me’ updates
- Users can add multiple time durations for a booking. When visiting the booking page, guests choose the length of a booked session first, and then proceed with the rest of the registration steps.
- Users can now select how far in advance a booking can be made without limiting the overall availability of a schedule (especially for long-term or indefinite availability schedules).
- Users can now set up a lead time on how close to the current moment they can be booked. For example, users who select 24h, they can only be booked the next day.
- A booking’s 12h/24h time format will now auto-change according to a user's browser settings. However, guests can also manually change the 12h/24h time format from the timezone dropdown.
🎉 Recurrent sessions updates
- Hosts and Co-hosts can now add agendas to their recurring sessions.
- Updates made on the agenda in the Lobby (before it begins) of a recurring session will automatically update all the other recurrent meetings.
- Updates made on the agenda during a live session won't affect the other recurrent meetings.
🔊 Conference enhancements
- We improved the conference to offer more stability to users.

This release introduces improvements to the "Book me" feature, including adding a time buffer between events, and setting up a custom slug. Additionally, hosts, assistants, and speakers can now host a dry run event beforehand, and the possibility to create webhooks.

- Users can now add a time buffer between their booking events.
- Those booking a meeting can now cancel or reschedule a session. This option will be available in the confirmation email they receive after booking a meeting.

🎤 Dry runs for webinars & workshops
- Hosts, assistants and speakers can now meet for a dry run before the webinar, workshop, or event starts. The agenda, tools and files embedded can be edited during the dry run.
- Attendees will not be able to join it.
🌐 Webhooks
- Users can now create webhooks that can inform other external systems of specific actions such as planning, starting, or ending meetings, bookings, and webinars.
- Users can tailor webhooks for personal usage or expand their reach to the entire organization (Admins only).
- Users can include custom headers in the webhook requests to have more control and flexibility in how they use this feature.

- Workspace members now have a page dedicated to their organization's events. This feature is useful internally since members can have an overview of their colleagues' events, or externally: the page can be shared publicly, showcasing the organization's events for all those interested.

- Users can list an event on the workspace Events page with a simple toggle. This gives them control over what event to showcase or not.
- The page will display events in all stages (drafts, published or passed) if they are marked to be listed. Users can un-list the event, hiding it from the page if it has passed.

📄 Adding new resources whilst using an agenda
- In the past, if users had an agenda during your session and then decided to showcase a new resource, the agenda would be removed. Now when a user adds a new resource while they have an agenda attached, this will be added to the current agenda item. It will automatically replace the existing resource (if there is one), without removing the agenda.
🔊 Notification to unmute videos
- If autoplay doesn't start the sound of a YouTube, Vimeo or locally uploaded video, a button will be displayed, instructing participants to unmute the video.
🏠 Home redesigned
- AI Copilot, Events, and Bookings are now displayed in Home, making them easier and faster to access for all users.

💻 More customizable Events
👉 Registration form
- Organizers can now add a registration form for their event. They can ask attendees to fill in their name, email address or other details relevant to them, like location and social media links.
- The registration form is by default enabled, and organizers can fully customize it to include any requirement they may have.
- Event Moderators and Speakers aren’t required to fill out the registration form.
👉 Advanced settings
- During the preparation stage of an event, organizers can access and edit advanced settings. These include two predefined sets of recommended settings ideal for managing participants easier during webinars, events or workshops.
- These settings can always be customized to suit the user's needs as much as possible.
👉 Participants' details
- Organizers can now see the complete list of participants who registered for the event, including the host, co-host and speakers. The list can be exported as a CSV file, and it will contain details submitted by participants in the registration stage.
🧠 Public access to Memory
- Users can now share a session’s Memory publicly. Anybody with the link will be able to access it, not just participants who joined or were invited to the session.
🗓️ 'Book me' feature redesigned
- The setup stage for the 'Book me' feature has been redesigned to be more detailed and to include settings for accessibility and participant management.
- This feature offers more flexibility when users set up their 'Book me' page. One of the most significant changes is that users can now customize their schedule to include multiple windows of availability per day.
