Sessions allows hosts and co-hosts to embed external web pages and share them with their participants during the session.
You can embed any page you want as long as the source website allows it. Simply copy the page’s URL from your browser and paste it into the Share palette.
Everybody in the session can interact freely with the website you’ve embedded. Nobody’s actions (not even yours as the host) will influence somebody else’s experience with the website.
Some websites provide an embed code as a sharing option. Look for the code and paste it in Sessions.
Previously embedded pages are stored in your palette. If you want to embed them again later on, you can just type in the name of the link in the Share palette’s search bar and you’ll see the link.
Embedding a link vs. My Product tool
The main difference between sharing a link through your palette or embedding My Product tool is this:
- When you’re using My Product tool, only one person presents, and everybody in the audience follows the presentation of that link, app, or platform that’s configured in My Product tool. Co-hosts and participants can request to take control over the presentation while everybody else sees what they are doing.
- When simply sharing a link through the Share palette, everybody in the audience can interact with the website embedded on their own. The activity of each participant is private.
