View modes allow organizers to set the focus exactly where they want it, both for them and their audience.
There are two View modes:
- Gallery
- Speakers
Let's analyze each View mode from two perspectives: with or without a tool, in Conference mode.
1. Speakers
- In Conference mode:
Only Speakers, Moderators and Assistants or participants in the spotlight are visible on the main screen. This mode displays up to four people. The participants' bar is not visible while in this mode.
- With a tool, file or link:
Resources take center stage, while Speakers, Moderators, or participants in the Spotlight appear as a pop-up window on top of the tool. This pop-up shows only one person at a time, therefore showing the most active Speakers, Moderators, or attendees in the Spotlight.
2. Gallery
- In Conference mode:
The audience is the main focus of this view, with Moderators, Speakers, and participants in Spotlight shown first. The participants' bar is unavailable, but attendees' video feeds will populate the main screen.
- With a tool, file or link:
The resource takes center stage while the rest of the audience is visible in the participants' bar.
👉 Enforce Host View
As a Moderator (Host or Assistant), you can decide how your audience will view the session. You can choose one of the two view modes (Gallery or Speakers), and participants will not have the possibility to switch to another view.
- As Moderator, if the toggle is on, your view is the one participants also see.
- If the toggle is off, participants get to switch between the views and settle on the one they like best. Their choice will not influence anybody else but their own view.
